The house at 1402 NW 70th St has been demolished and the use has been changed from single-family to multi-family for 4-units – 2 with attached garages and 2 with surface parking. The owner of the application is Coombes Real Estate in Seattle and the units are developed as 1,462 SF with 400 SF of roof deck. The drawings are fairly dry – taken right from the construction document set and turned into jpegs for their website promotion:
I walked by the site today to find a new 10′ curb cut and rockery for site entrance by machinery and cast-in-place continuous concrete footings revealing the footprint of each unit. The foundation included foil-backed rigid insulation in the floor area and stub-outs were visible for the future plumbing lines. On the upside, the owners of these new units will get to have Honore pastries in the mornings and Delancey pizza by night. Now that’s some life!
